Data Privacy Day

Every January 28th is celebrated as Data Privacy Day (DPD) and is an international effort to promote data privacy for users and businesses.
DPD is sponsored by the National Cyber Security Alliance (NCSA) and they have chosen “Respecting Privacy, Safeguarding Data, and Enabling Trust” as this year’s theme.

NCSA-sponsored events are scheduled during the week leading up to Data Privacy Day.

Additionally, the largest event will be held on Twitter on Thursday, January 26th, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. PST which will include presentations on scams, identity theft and fraud.
